Nickelback Haters ... Response to another Nickelback fan thread

You know I saw an interview on the web where Chad says no one dreams of growing up to become a music critic. Could it be that these haters are mostly made up of jealous musicians frustrated with their own careers? They wish they had a small portion of Chad, Mike, Ryan and Daniel's talent, charisma and vision. Nickelback has kept the rock we love relevant and fresh. Can you tell how much I adore these guys ;)

Here and Now has already......ALREADY gone DOUBLE PLATIMUM!!! It hasn't even been out 1 month yet!

Besides Buble and Bieber, a third artist has scored a multi-platinum 2011 album. No surprise here; it?s Nickelback. Here and Now is officially double-platinum.

That's really impressive stuff. Sadly, here in the UK they don't do as well as in America - but I'm glad to see they are still doing amazingly well in the US. Sounds like there are far more lovers than haters from those sales!

I have to agree with Daniela. And also I think that millions of fans can not be wrong :)

I personally believe that people who are interested in the rock genre are subjected to harsh punishment in the form of 4/4 drum beats. It's because of the constant use of 4/4 drum beats that fans of rock n' roll are inclined to try out newer genres such as hard rock and heavy metal or maybe even satanic bands. However, they do not know that these genres are consisted of even more 4/4 drum beats making the viewer's search for music without 4/4 drum beats frustrating and near impossible. This frustration is then subjected upon all rock n' roll bands who use 4/4 as a way to vent their feeble attempted to find drum beats that do not follow the common 4/4 time signature. Nickelback, the easiest scapegoat due to their excessive use of 4/4, are easily hated upon for this reason and regardless of their 4/4 drum beats, their songs are diverse in genre ranging from pop to rock and then to metalcore. I believe that if Nickelback were to make a song without a 4/4 drum beat, it would go against their beliefs and would ruin their music but in the case as it is now, people will continue to hate their music.

I think DOUBLE-PLATINUM says it all in my book. There are always going to be people like that...personally I think that Hating in general is a waste of good energy.

it surprises me why there are those that love Nickelbacks music, and those that hate them with a passion. I don't follow their logic. I think that maybe they are just haters because they do so well and are so fervently supported by those of us that love their music. A while back they played their Live at Sturgis concert on one of the music channels here... i made mention of it on another forum i was part of and half of them jumped down my throat for it. I of course told them they were talking out of their @$$ and wouldn't good music if it bit them on their @$$!
I wasn't much of a fan until my son dragged me to a concert here back in '06..... i was converted!! loved the concert, and bought all of their CDs afterwards! Seen them in concert twice now.....and they are coming to Australia later this year.... i'm going to purchase Gold VIP tickets for this one!! at $1,000 each, it will be worth it!!
    Keep on rockin guys!!

I think people that hate Nickelback just hate modern rock in general, and Nickelback takes all the heat because they're the most successful of all of them. The only one that never seems to get any heat is the Foo Fighters. Probably because Dave was part of Nirvana.
