For those who are fans of Soundgarden!

Grunge icons Soundgarden will release their first new song in 15 years for the soundtrack to Marvel's upcoming "Avengers" film. The group's last album was released in 1996, although they officially reunited in 2010.

"We've been hard at work on our new album, which will come out this fall," the band said in a statement. "When the opportunity arose to write an original song for Marvel's 'The Avengers' film we thought it could be a cool match." Listen to a sample of Soundgarden's "Live to Rise" below:

The film's compilation, titled "Avengers Assemble" features a slew of late-90s/early-2000s alt-rockers like Rise Against, Papa Roach, Bush, Evanescence, Buckcherry and more. A score by Grammy Award-winning composer Alan Silvestri will also be available May 1.
