Storms can do a lot of damage.
On Friday eneving, there was a storm that came through where I live(Sidney). It came out of no where. Me and my mom had just got home from a very long week of Girl Scout Day Camp. The last day is what we call water day(basically we go to the city pool). As soon as the storm hit, most of the town except for the hospital and the local Wal-Mart lost power and a few residential houses. We didn't have power from 4:30pm on Friday evening until 5:00pm today, Saturday. The winds took down signs, trees, and power lines. Me and my mom went to the next city(Piqua) which is about 15 minutes to see if any resturants had any power and they did. They where packed. Even the gas stations. Our city was like a ghost town, when the power went out, so did the stop lights. Only 2 or 3 working. It was like a ghost town. There where cars that where going through the stop lights like they weren't even there. During that storm, I really thought there was going to be a tornado coming through. But the sirens didn't sound. And it's supposed to be in the 90's again. Increadibly hot. I really, really, really hope that a storm like that will never come through again.
