Your Music Touches Me
I never know if the bands actually read this stuff, but I hope they do.
There music has touched me most of my life. Ever since I was 14 and went through hell and back. Cancer, coma, transplants, relearned how to walk and talk. Then when I was 18 I got sick and suffered for 5 years before getting yet another transplant, which I was again on the brink of death when I received it. Many people who know me call me strong and I guess you could say that yet sometimes I don't feel that way. yet when you came out with your song "If Today Was Your Last Day" it really touched me, because I know all too well what it feels like when you wonder if today is your last day to live. I still listen to the song religiously, lol.
I am now waiting for my second kidney transplant, I am on the waiting list and my sister is trying hard to lose the weight she needs to lose to meet the requirements to be a living donor if it comes to that. Your song still gets me through the hard times to this day and I've always wanted to let the band know that.
Your music actually got me through high school. Those were tough times because I only had one friend who understood the depression I suffered through. But there are a small group of people in this world who might understand everything I've gone through. Ive only ever known what its like to be somewhat normal for short periods of time in my life, the rest of the time I'm sick at home or in the hospital and I just wanted to say that no matter what its always your music I fall back on when it feels like I just want to give up.
Even though i'm on the transplant list I am getting taught how to be a Therapuetic Riding Instructor and going to school online to be an Equine Specialist, those horses and those riders are my life, I actually feel more at home at that barn with those riders because it's those riders that know what its like to have to struggle to do things on a daily routine and I love to put smiles on their faces when they come for class. I even play your music over our speaker system when I teach and no matter what I always have one or two "dancers" who move to the beats in the saddle.
I hope that you guys read this and know how special and meaningful your music is to my life and how much I appreciate it and what it has done for me.
